To Chase Ergonomics distributors: Your customers are looking for “greener” products that can perform to high standards, but won’t bury them under a high price. To meet those needs, Chase developed Decade Bio™ and Body Glove Bio™ safety glasses: the world’s first eyewear that meets the ANSI Z87.1-2010 high-impact standard, but will gradually be converted to humus and harvestable methane once discarded into a landfill. Made of tough polycarbonate, our glasses are treated with an ingredient that does not affect their performance or longevity, but when thrown away, will attract microbes to devour the plastic, leaving beneficial material behind. Ongoing independent lab tests, meeting the requirements of the ASTM D5511 standard, show that after only 210 days, 15.1% biodegradation has occured. The Standard’s tests mimic landfill conditions in humid climates, like the Pacific Northwest, or the Southeast U.S. Each landfill environment varies, so we can’t project exactly how long it will take for our Bio products to turn back into earth in your neighborhood. . .but it will be much faster than ever before. Learn more about the process here. The stylish and sporty Body Glove Bio™ 459 Series is available in white frame with clear lens, or silver metallic frame with clear or shaded lens. The economical, traditional Decade Bio™ Sosa is available with clear frame and lens or dark frame with shaded lens. All styles are currently in stock.
